About The Farm

Finca Palma Roja is located in China Alta, Ibagué, Tolima, Colombia, at an altitude of around 1,700 to 1,800 meters. The farm of Helena Oliviero covers approximately six hectares, with around three hectares dedicated to coffee cultivation. The farm grows different Arabica varieties, including Bourbon, Castillo, Caturra, Colombia, Geisha/Gesha, Laurina, Pacamara, Pink Bourbon, and Wush Wush.

The coffees are selectively hand-picked and processed depending on the lot as natural, semi-washed, washed, honey, or experimental. Traditional fermentation, anaerobic fermentation, extended fermentation, and carbonic maceration are also used. With cupping scores around 85 points, microlots, and small lots, Palma Roja represents a diverse coffee production from Tolima.
