About The Farm
La Vega is located in San Agustín, Huila, Colombia, at an altitude of around 1,780 meters. The farm of James Meneses covers approximately two hectares, fully dedicated to coffee cultivation. The farm grows different Arabica varieties, including Bourbon, Laurina, Pacamara, Pink Bourbon, Sidra, and Caturra, as well as special varieties such as Ají and Papayo.
The coffees are selectively hand-picked and processed depending on the lot as natural, semi-washed, or washed. Anaerobic fermentation, yeast-inoculated fermentation, and extended fermentation are also used. With cupping scores between 86 and 86.5 points, partial shade management, and a focus on high-quality estate lots, La Vega represents a small, specialized coffee production from San Agustín.
