About The Farm
Finca La Aldea is located in San Agustín, Huila, Colombia, around 30 minutes from the town of San Agustín, at an altitude of approximately 1,850 meters. The farm of Wilson Ordoñez covers around 16 hectares, fully dedicated to coffee cultivation. The farm grows different Arabica varieties, including Bourbon, Castillo, Catuai, Caturra, Geisha/Gesha, Pink Bourbon, Sidra, Tabi, and Typica, as well as Caturra Chiroso.
The coffees are selectively hand-picked and processed depending on the lot as natural, semi-washed, washed, honey, or experimental. Anaerobic fermentation, yeast-inoculated fermentation, and extended fermentation are also used. With cupping scores around 86 points, partial shade management, and a focus on estate lots, La Aldea represents a diverse coffee production from San Agustín.
